Wellington Software Showcase - 5.30pm - 9pm, 13th November, Duxton Hotel
Networking Forum and dinner for investors and technology companies at the Duxton Hotel, Monday 13th November. The NZ Software Association facilitates networking between technology companies and the investor community and advisers who can help them. The event begins at 5.30 pm with networking until 5.45pm. Each presenter will then have 5 minutes in which to give an elevator pitch. Following the pitches there will be a brief Q&A session, followed by the opportunity for participants to meet, learn about each other and possibly strike a deal over drinks. So that everyone knows who is who, each attendee will wear a colour-coded name tag — a green dot for a pitching company, red dot for an investor and amber dot for an advisor/other party.
Approach the Dragons. If you wish to make an elevator pitch, please contact Helen Fisk - email to helen@nzsa.org.nz before 10 November 2006. If you haven't done a pitch before, you can download a PDF copy of John O'Hara's “Guidelines for an Elevator Pitch” from http://johnohara.co.nz/resources.htm.
Networking Dinner. After the “Dragons Den” you're invited to continue networking with your peers over dinner (served at 7.15pm) and then listen to an entertaining and informative speaker, Rod Drury. Rod provides an overview of the software market and what it takes to be successful
